Last winter, we set out to find a colour that could hold its own — something that matched the grounded mood of colder months while still offering warmth. That colour found us.
Sumac Red, named after the vibrant, tangy spice, emerged as the tone of the season — a deep earthy red with quiet confidence. It’s full of lift, yet anchored. Unexpectedly neutral, subtly fiery, and utterly timeless.

We introduced it through two of our signature South African leather handbags — the Belter Moonbag and the Everywhere Tote — handcrafted by our leather artisans in Cape Town. Both styles now wear Sumac beautifully: the Belter’s sleek form paired with its antique brass O-ring, and the Everywhere’s understated shape designed for work to weekend versatility.

Sumac quickly became a fan favourite. Worn with all-black, denim, or soft neutral knits, it blends in and stands out in equal measure. It’s a colour that speaks to those who want their accessories to feel modern, refined, and deeply personal.
